About Barukh Hashem

The name of this website signifies, in the Hebrew, "exalted is the name," and here meant is the name of God (YHWH; which means "He-Who-Is"). Here I write about the Hebrew Bible from a non-Jewish perspective. Some would thus call me a "Noahide," but I spurn the label, as there is simply no need for a person who serves the true God to adopt some extraneous title. In fact, I think this makes the service of the God of Israel seem even more alien, when it is in fact the original religion on Earth. (Some may object, that the name attributing this acknowledgement of the one God to Biblical Noahh [that's how I transliterate the Hebrew] shows the originality of it; but I think things that are so original and primordial need no label at all, and things so fundamental to existence need no attention called thereto.) For my later writings on the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh), Biblical history, and matters adjacent, see my Substack.
I also write many fictional stories (some short and some full-length novellas) here, and do other artistic undertakings (poetry, surreal humor, &c.), which you will see posted on the home-page.
God has given me a great craft for writing, and I attempt to gather most of my works here or on Substack.
