A Motivational Quote From The Bible

July 11, 2022

I haven't much groundbreaking to say in this one, but mostly just words of encouragement (for those who fear God). I'm nearly sure no-one reads this blog aside from maybe one person, but, hey, I could be wrong.
Anyway, at these "end of days" times we're at, almost all public figures, mainstream media, and society even, are always reinforcing into each other that God-fearers are braindead, evil, primitive cavemen who must, at all costs, be, essentially, eradicated, and -- at least trying to hammer -- into the God-fearing that they're (I hope it's more a "we," that I'm a God-fearer) weak, that they'll never be able to do the slightest thing, make the slightest change, or have any chance of winning against them and their ilk. They do, after all, have ALL the power, and the God-fearers are scattered all about with little ability to assemble in large masses, bruised, abused, and weak peons.
Every passage of the Jewish Bible carries a moral lesson, something to be taken away from it, as well as all the merely factual information. Same applies to the end of days prophecies. They not only speak about what will happen in the (near) future, albeit with many metaphors, but they also have one (amongst, I'm sure, many others) lesson (that I'm writing about today): even when wickedness prevails and fear of God is endlessly denigrated, ridiculed, and scorned as being evil (according to their ideologies), don't give up. (The passage I'm gonna quote is mostly referring to Israel as far as I'm aware, but it's still mostly accurate to what God will do for gentiles as well.) I'll let the prophet Malakhi (I believe in describing what happens shortly after the Jewish kingdom is reestablished) take it from here:
For lo, the sun comes, glowing like a furnace, and all the audacious sinners and all the perpetrators of wickedness will be stubble. And the sun that comes shall burn them up so that it will leave them neither root nor branch, says the Lord of Hosts. And the sun of mercy shall rise with healing in its wings for you who fear My Name. Then will you go forth and be fat as fatted calves. And you shall crush the wicked, for they will be as ash under the soles of your feet on the day that I will prepare, says the Lord of Hosts.
